FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Valencia Systems Announces the Release of Aruba 3.0
New Version Features Custom Reporting, Enhanced Component Grouping, Business Hour Reporting, Report Archiving, and Much More
Orlando, FL, November 6, 2003. — Valencia Systems Inc. today released an enhanced version of its innovative Aruba network infrastructure performance management solution — adding a powerful new XML-based custom reporting capability. This new feature allows users to create custom reports based on existing or new data fields and to choose the way the data is presented in the reports. An easy-to-use GUI interface makes this an instantly popular feature with Aruba users.
Aruba 3.0 also provides improved component grouping, allowing Administrators to create groups of components without their parent devices and restrict user access to only specific components of a device as needed.
Another important new feature of Aruba is the ability to define multiple sets of report hours. This gives users the flexibility of easily creating reports for different time periods, such as comparing 24-hour network data against data collected during an organization's normal business hours.
Users can now choose whether reports and queries are run using Device Time or Collection Agent Time. This is helpful when working with devices and collection agents in different time zones.
Aruba 3.0 also includes enhanced report archival features. Administrators can configure Aruba to automatically run reports and save them to electronic files, allowing users to easily retrieve a report later, including associated charts and images, and export the information to another system as needed.
Configuration of Aruba has been streamlined in the latest release. Administrators can now easily add, delete, modify, and move groups, devices, and components from the main Console screens, as well as quickly restore any accidentally deleted devices.
Additional support for DLCI MIBs was added, and enhancements were made to Aruba's data purge, device availability, trending, real time reporting, and highest congestion reporting features.
Aruba 3.0 is available now at a starting price of $5,000 for a Windows 2000 or XP-based system. It is also available for HP-UX, AIX and Solaris UNIX operating environments.
