Valencia Systems Selected by Packeteer® to Power New Central Performance Reporting System
Demonstrates ease of integration and strength of Valencia's OEM capabilities
Orlando, FL, June 25, 2002. — Valencia Systems Inc. today announced an OEM agreement with Packeteer®, Inc., a leading provider of application performance infrastructure systems, under which Valencia's Aruba central reporting technology will power Packeteer's ReportCenter 2.0 application performance and service-level reporting solution (announced separately today).
"Packeteer chose the Valencia Systems technology to power our ReportCenter offering due to its easy of use, ease of integration and flexible architecture that enables comprehensive layer 2 through 7 visibility and analysis," said Todd Krautkremer, vice president of marketing for Packeteer. "It provides us with a rich, web-enabled central reporting solution that can meet a broad range of requirements from enterprise and service provider customers."
The Packeteer product is based on Aruba, Valencia System's powerful network performance reporting solution. Aruba allows network managers and engineers to quickly and easily see current and historical network performance as well as predict future problems and trends. The system is flexible, highly scalable, and requires minimal administration. Aruba automatically collects and stores broad network usage statistics and provides summary and detail reporting on utilization, availability, volumes, errors and trends.
Valencia Systems' products were the first to address the real problem in other solutions — the core architecture. They are specifically designed from the ground up for large-scale data collection, analysis, and reporting. Valencia Systems provides the ability to scale gracefully while preserving the usability and flexibility of the information. The Aruba technology is easily integrated with third-party solutions, and offers network vendors a proven, turnkey reporting solution.
"We are extremely pleased that Packeteer selected Aruba for reporting the rich performance data from the PacketShaper" said Steve Christle, President of Valencia Systems. "Aruba's ease of use, coupled with its powerful reporting options, will provide a great benefit to their customers".
