Valencia Systems Releases Aruba Suite 3.1
Aruba suite leverages the tiered architecture to support collection intensive applications like NetFlow
Orlando, FL, January 1, 2005. — Valencia Systems Inc. today announced the release of the Aruba Suite version 3.1.
"With consultation from our customers and market research we have advanced the Aruba Suite to support NetFlow collection and added a higher level of user customization", said Valencia Systems President, Steve Christle. "By listening to our customers and making some slight product modifications we were able to enhance our Aruba Reporter to support their needs for advanced application and traffic forensics".
New Features in the Aruba Suite include:
Flow Reporting – Aruba now provides flow data collection and reporting. Aruba's new flow reports allow you to better understand the nature of the traffic that is flowing across your network. The new flow reports, such as Top Talkers, Top Listeners, Top Traffic Types, and Top Applications can be accessed directly or through links from the existing performance reports, such as Volume Leaders, Highest Congestion, or Service Quality.
Improved Outage Reporting – Aruba now tracks the status of managed components and provides outage reports listing each outage. Through the use of SNMP traps and status polling, Aruba can now more precisely detect failure times and provide more accurate up time, down time, and availability information.
Complete Report Customization – The standard Aruba reports are now implemented with XML report definitions. This allows you to more easily tailor the standard Aruba reports to meet your specific business requirements.
Component-Level Performance Profiles – You can now assign performance profiles on a component-by-component basis rather than
only at the device level.
Admin State for New Components – You can now select the initial administrative state of newly discovered components. This enables Aruba to discover components in your network when you are at or near your licensed component limit.
Support for Separate Frame Counts by Type – You can now view frame counts categorized by unicast, broadcast, and multicast types rather than total RX and TX counts only.
Duplex Support – Aruba now discovers the duplex type of interface components and uses this information when calculating interface component utilization. You can also manually set the duplex type for components as needed.
Windows 2003 Server Support – Aruba now runs on the Windows 2003 Server platform.
